The School of Mathematics and Statistics provides Mathematical Enrichment classes on Saturday mornings, starting on 21 January 2017. Their classes are run free of charge by academics in their School and are designed to develop a sound understanding of Mathematics and improve problem-solving skills. 

There were two initial training classes on Saturday 21 and 28 January 2017. On Saturday 4 February 2017 there was a selection test at the end of which the best 40 students were invited for more intense training in view of participation to the Irish Math Olympiad. This event will take place at a national level on Saturday 6 May 2017. The best six pupils at the Irish Math Olympiad will represent the country at the  International Math Olympiad which will take place in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) between 12-23 July 2017.
