We are looking for students who are interested in supporting others students with using school computers/laptops, using school email, using Word, PowerPoint, One Drive and so on. You will need to have a basic computer knowledge and to have shown that you are capable of working on computers. You will also need a teacher to recommend your application. This means you must give the name of teacher who has agreed to recommend you as they know you are “good with computers”. Any student from 1st to 5th year who enjoys working with computers may apply. All training will be given. You must be willing to commit to training which will happen at lunchtime or after school (on a few occasions). You must be will to share your knowledge with others, help teachers in the classroom and be willing to talk to groups (e.g. at Assembly, parents’ meetings) about the student experience of being a Digital Captain.

It means helping the teachers to distribute and return laptops, help students to log in, show students how to use different programmes you have received training in and so on. We plan to have 1 or 2 digital captains per class. If we have too many suitable applicants, a lottery system (i.e. names out of a hat) will be used to choose captains.

Here is a link to the application form. Just click into the form, fill it out and submit it.
