The UCD Entrance Scholars Awards ceremony took place this evening. Four students from our graduating class of 2018 were awarded with certificates for achieving 560 points or more in their Leaving Certificate exam. Halloween Fancy Dress day took place today. The best costume prize for 1st years was won by Meabh Doherty, for her washing machine costume. Later, 1st and 2nd years attended the film 'Hocus Pocus' in the PE hall. This was organised by the 5th year mentors. Fabulously-carved pumpkins were displayed in a competition organised by the Smile Committee. Well done to all who participated in the day's events and a happy Halloween break to all!

In the Maths trail, the students had to solve the problem,get multiples of the answer and use these to decipher the location of next problem. There were ten locations all around the school an four levels of difficulty. Click on the heading to see a list of prizewinners.

More fish were added to the school pond by the 1st and 2nd years today. A plaque was unveiled by the School Council to acknowledge Mr Tom Cox who created and maintains the pond throughout the year. Head gir, Sophie Williams, thanked Mr Cox on behalf of us all.
